COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES, SOCIAL DISTANCING GUIDELINES & MAGIC SHOW INFO:

During the COVID-19 pandemic Magic Martin has been closely following government guidelines regarding social gatherings and advisory safety measures. In conjunction with advice given by entertainment governing bodies, local authorities and insurance companies, Magic Martin has put in place increased hygiene and social distancing measures to insure a safe and comfortable audience and performing experience.

The simple to follow steps will automatically be implemented allowing clients to enjoy an easy booking experience, simple party/ event planning process and hassle free running on the day. Martin & Kerry aim to answer all concerns over safety prior to the event and enable stress free set up and implementation during the event/ party.

At present the ruling in England is that Current Guidelines For Garden Parties & Village Halls for up to 30 Guests are now allowed. This means that whilst adhering to sensible social distancing the show can go on!!

Amazing shows with lots of slapstick comedy magic and audience participation (all socially distanced) and is guaranteed to create lots and lots of fun moments and amazing photo opportunities.

My stage area is fenced off with flags bunting to keep within the up to 2 metre government recommendations

For the magic show are encouraged to make or bring a magic wand for the show. If it is a birthday party then the birthday child will be the star of the show when they help make the magic happen, however Martin will get all audience members participating obviously from their seats!

Our party package include lots of socially distanced interactive party dances and solo actions/activities to limit contact but have maximum fun

*Currently I am not including giveaway balloons during the show to reduce contact, but offering a free gift to every child of a poster/colouring sheet and a Magic Martin sticker that will be given out at the end by the party booker. If you wish to upgrade and add in some party favours to takeaway then please see the fab Wand Packs available for all the Children.

The party runs with a 15 min introduction game & party dance followed by the Magic Show with just enough time to fit in another game and a dance before a good bye to Martin and a hello to food time!

We have introduced some new measures to keep everyone safe during the party. We have come up with ways to do this while still keeping the party fun, interactive and exciting!

ALL CHILDREN WILL BE THE STARS OF THE SHOW FROM THEIR MAT & RECEIVE A PRIZE AT THE END OF THE PARTY

PARTY VENUE & SET UP

Where possible Martin will liaise with the venue to discuss their set up, entrance/exit policy and hygiene measures in advance.

Hand sanitiser station will be provided and available on entrance for all guests (provided and installed by Martin on arrival)

All party decorations to be raised off the floor.

No balloons on the floor to avoid multiple children touching them.

If balloons are used for wall/ arch decorations use a pump to inflate them.

Magic Show & Seating area to be situated away from the party food/ tables.

Bunting flags will be used to cordon off the magic show/stage area and create minimum 2 metre distance from children and to stop children wandering into the space. (Provided)

Individual (sanitised) coloured rubber mats provided for children to sit on during the show to help with social distancing. (Provided)

Parents requested not to sit on the party table seats.

Parents to be responsible for own child's hygiene and social distancing when required.

Limit number of party guests to ensure adequate space at the party venue.

Adults remaining at the party/event must social distance where possible

All parents or adult guests to provide a contact name and number on arrival

MAGIC SHOW & PARTY GAMES

Martin has developed a new show and party package to enable social distancing and increased hygiene measures.

No children will be invited directly into the stage space during the magic show. Any individual children who are invited to help out in the show will do so at a safe distance. If any item is handed to a child it will be sanitised in advance.

When possible children will be given a sanitised rubber mat to sit on to enable social distancing and to help alleviate children from moving around unnecessarily.

Balloon Sculptures will not be included in the show as prizes unless specifically requested. If so Martin will thoroughly sanitise his hands and the balloon will be inflated with a sanitised hand pump.

The Mini Disco/ Party Games elements of the 90 minute party package will include party dances that feature solo dance moves and interactive elements that children can follow on the rubber mat.

The party games will also be solo games and not team challenges.

The party games will not feature items that need to be passed around or include physical contact

All Children to receive a prize (mentioned above) and given away at the end of the party by the party organiser not by Martin.

ADDITIONAL ADVICE & PROCEDURES

To help create a safe and fun environment for your party, the following is advised to ensure proper government guidelines are followed:

All parents must provide a contact name and number if their child attends the party/ event

Any guests or their immediate family experiencing COVID-19 symptoms should be requested not to attend.

If any guests develop symptoms shortly after the party they are requested to inform the party host.

It is advised that party food should provided in individual party boxes or bags to avoid cross contamination.

Have one small birthday cake with candles for blowing out (in a space separate to other children) and then have individual cupcakes/fairy cakes for each child to take home if required.

Feed the children after the magic show/ party show to avoid children from wandering around whilst equipment is being packed away.

No party blowers or whistles to be given to the children.

All children to wash their hands or use sanitiser immediately after using the toilet.
